Alder Wood

Druids associated this tree with the fox.

Celts and Norse associate the Alder tree with the raven.

Apple Wood

Druids associated this tree with the adder.

Norse Mythology associates the Ash tree with the deer, the hawk, the eagle, the squirrel, and the serpent. It represents that the cosmology of the world tree, or as the Norse referred to it as YGGDRASIL.

Beech Wood

Element of Air and Earth.

Female Energy.

Planetary Associations: Saturn and Mercury

Beech is a sacred tree of Celtic Astrology December 22.

Druids used Beech tree groves for sacred spaces only if Oak was not available.

Irish lore tells of the God Ogma created the Ogham Alphabet upon a tablet of Beech wood.

Norse tradition tells of tablets of Beech that were used to make the very first writing tablets for the runes. Beech wood creates strong magick for working with the Nordic runes.

The Celts used the nut of the Beech tree for feed of sacred swine.

Druids associated the Birch tree with the stag and the golden eagle.

Norse Mythology associates the Birch tree sometimes as the World tree.

Norse also have dedicated this tree to the Almighty Thor in representation as the Fertility God.

The arrows of Cupid are made from Cypress wood.

Egyptians used Cypress wood in the mummification process and often used the wood for the mummy sarcophagus.

Apollo was born and raised in a sacred Cypress grove.
